Since Techland and Deep Silver launched the hauntingly beautiful premier trailer for zombie survival-horror title Dead Island in February, gamers have been wondering what it will play like. They'll find out next week when the game ships, and we've got one last preview of the gory action courtesy of the Dead Island launch trailer.

Dead Island is an open-world first person game, but in this story of a resort turned hell on Earth, the focus is on melee combat, not guns. See for yourself below:



Dead Island is a Windows PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 title. The game is set for launch on September 6.


Spy Guy says: I don't think I've ever seen a single CGI trailer generate so much buzz for a game as the premier Dead Island trailer. It instantly put the debut IP on just about every gamer's radar. The question now is, will the actual game live up to the high expectations that CGI trailer created? We'll find out next week.
