Electronic Arts has released a playable demo of Fight Night Round 4 today for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. There's a catch however, as only those who pre-order the game through retailer GameStop will be able to access the three-round demo. Fans of Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton and Manny "Pac-Man" Pacquiao will be able to got at it in the ring, and perhaps change the outcome of the recent live fight where Pacquiao k/o'd Hatton.

All is not lost for gamers that don't pre-order the title through GameStop, as May 28th will see the demo become available to all Xbox Live Gold members, with PlayStation Network users and Xbox Live Silver members gain access on June 4th.
Fight Night Round 4 features unique boxer styles and an all new physics based engine that creates one-of-a-kind bouts between over 45 licensed boxers. The action inside the ring will be faster than ever, delivering a true representation of the sport's incredible speed, accuracy, timing, and power.

Fight Night Round 4 will ship to stores for the Xbox 360 video game system from Microsoft and the PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system on June 30th, 2009.

Bryn says: My old boss is a massive boxing fan. He was bugging me recently on Twitter about whether or not I was going to be watching my native UK fighter Hatton get his arse kicked. I didn't manage to secure a seat at the fight (or watch it on TV) but I'm saddened by Hatton's loss.

I think when the 28th rolls around, I'm going to grab the demo and turn the tables on Pacquiao. Watch out Pac-Man.
