New technologies, stunning visuals, and creepy, gory FPS fun are id Software's hallmarks. With Rage, the iconic studio's first new IP since Quake dropped in 1996, id plans to add story to that list. Learn how in the new developer diary for Rage, The Dawn.

After detailing the legacy of id Software in their last dev diary, the Rage team is back to focus on their upcoming shooter, promising to deliver a deep and meaningful story to their tried-and-true recipe of FPS games.

Rage is in development for Windows PCs, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. The game is scheduled for launch on October 4.
