Introduction

The Heavenly Sword is a weapon which holds extraordinary power. Aside from its storied past - a deity was said to have once wielded it - the Heavenly Sword now has a future in jeopardy. Guarded by an ancient clan who vowed to protect the sword's sacred power, the Heavenly Sword is the sole target of the invading armies led by a relentlessly evil warlord named Bohan. It seems he will stop at nothing to capture the sword, thereby consolidating his power as the unquestioned ruler of all of the surrounding clans.

You play as Nariko, a member of the small clan of warriors who protect the Heavenly Sword. With your clan's very survival in question, it's up to you to protect the sword and keep it out of the clutches of the evil Bohan and his massive army of minions and henchmen. With the help of Nariko's sister, the strange archer named Kai, your task is simple. Protect the Heavenly Sword… with your life, if necessary.
